Common Mistakes

Common Mistake
Forgetting the spell ends immediately when the target attacks or casts a spell
Common Mistake
Thinking invisible means undetectable - creatures can still be heard, smelled, or leave tracks
Common Mistake
Not enforcing that dropped items become visible
Common Mistake
Assuming invisibility grants advantage on all attacks - only if the attacker is unseen

DM Tips

DM Tip
Invisible creatures still make noise, have a scent, and leave footprints
DM Tip
Enemies can make Perception checks to notice signs of invisible creatures
DM Tip
Remember that attacking ends the spell, so it's great for positioning but not sustained combat
DM Tip
Describe how NPCs react to invisible party members - confusion, alarm, sweeping attacks
