Yklwa

The yklwa (pronounced YICK-ul-wah) is a Chultan weapon that consists of a 3-foot wooden shaft with a steel or stone blade up to 18 inches long. It's the signature weapon of Chult's people, particularly the dinosaur-riding warriors. The weapon is designed for both melee combat and throwing.

Mechanics

Damage: 1d8 piercing. Melee weapon attack using Strength modifier. Range: 5 feet melee, or 10/30 feet thrown. Simple melee weapon with the Thrown property. When thrown, it uses the same ability modifier as when used in melee (Strength). After throwing, the weapon lands in the target's space.
