Drow 5e
Drow, also known as dark elves, are a subrace of elves that dwell in the Underdark. Descended from an ancient elven civilization corrupted by the spider goddess Lolth, drow are notorious for their cruelty and prowess in magic. They have jet-black skin and pale hair, and their eyes are typically red, purple, or pale blue. Those who escape the Underdark often struggle to overcome their dark heritage.

| Trait | Description |
|---|---|
| Superior Darkvision | Your darkvision has a radius of 120 feet. |
| Sunlight Sensitivity | You have disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight. |
| Drow Magic | You know the Dancing Lights cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast Faerie Fire once per long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast Darkness once per long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. |

| Keen Senses | You have proficiency in the Perception skill. |
| Trance | Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply for 4 hours a day, gaining the same benefit as a human does from 8 hours of sleep. |
| Drow Weapon Training | You have proficiency with rapiers, shortswords, and hand crossbows. |

Thinking Trance means elves don't need rest at all

Forgetting Superior Darkvision is 120 feet, not the standard 60 feet

Not using Darkness strategically (it blocks vision for allies too)
