Spell Sniper

Complete guide to the Spell Sniper feat in D&D 5e. Double your spell range, ignore cover with spell attacks, and learn a bonus attack cantrip.

Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell

Benefit

You double the range of spell attacks, ignore cover, and learn one attack cantrip from any class's spell list.

Mechanics

Spell Sniper enhances your spellcasting range and precision: **Double Spell Attack Range:** When you cast a spell that requires you to make an attack roll, the spell's range is doubled. **Ignore Cover:** Your ranged spell attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover. **Learn Attack Cantrip:** You learn one cantrip that requires an attack roll. Choose the cantrip from any class's spell list. Your spellcasting ability for this cantrip depends on the class you chose: Charisma for Bard, Sorcerer, or Warlock; Wisdom for Cleric or Druid; Intelligence for Wizard. **Important Details:** - Only affects spells with attack rolls, not saving throws - Range doubling applies to both normal and long range - Works with Eldritch Blast, Fire Bolt, Scorching Ray, etc. - The bonus cantrip can be from any class - Cover ignoring doesn't work on total cover
