Mobile

Complete guide to the Mobile feat in D&D 5e. Increase your speed, ignore difficult terrain when dashing, and strike enemies without fear of opportunity attacks.

Benefit

You gain increased movement speed, can dash through difficult terrain easily, and avoid opportunity attacks from enemies you attack.

Mechanics

Mobile provides three benefits that enhance your mobility in combat: **+10 Speed:** Your speed increases by 10 feet. This applies to all your movement modes (walking, climbing, swimming). **Dash Ignores Difficult Terrain:** When you use the Dash action, difficult terrain doesn't cost you extra movement on that turn. **Avoid Opportunity Attacks:** When you make a melee attack against a creature, you don't provoke opportunity attacks from that creature for the rest of the turn, whether you hit or not. **Important Details:** - Speed increase stacks with other bonuses (Longstrider, Haste, etc.) - Opportunity attack avoidance works even if you miss the attack - You must make a melee attack, not just threaten - ranged attacks don't count - Works perfectly for hit-and-run tactics - Doesn't prevent opportunity attacks from other creatures you didn't attack

Synergies

  • *Rogue Cunning Action - Dash as bonus action and attack without retaliation
  • *Monk Step of the Wind - Enhanced mobility stacks perfectly
  • *Swashbuckler Rogue - Already have free disengage, speed boost is still great
  • *Tabaxi Feline Agility - Double your already-increased speed
  • *Haste spell - 50+ foot movement becomes normal
  • *Booming Blade - Hit and run away, if they follow they take damage
  • *Scout Rogue - Stack with Skirmisher for incredible mobility
