Elemental Adept

Complete guide to the Elemental Adept feat in D&D 5e. Pierce through resistances, reroll low damage dice, and specialize in a damage type for consistent spell damage.

Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell

Benefit

Spells you cast ignore resistance to your chosen damage type, and you can reroll 1s on damage dice for that element.

Mechanics

Elemental Adept enhances spells of a chosen damage type: **Choose an Element:** Choose one damage type: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder. **Ignore Resistance:** Spells you cast ignore resistance to damage of the chosen type. Note: This does not bypass immunity. **Reroll 1s:** When you roll damage for a spell you cast that deals damage of the chosen type, you can treat any 1 on a damage die as a 2. **Multiple Elements:** You can select this feat multiple times, choosing a different damage type each time. **Important Details:** - Only affects spells, not other sources of elemental damage - Rerolling 1s happens automatically (treat 1s as 2s) - Resistance ignoring means half damage becomes full damage - Does not work against immunity - Best for casters who focus on one element
